Precision Email: 7 Lessons in Engagement Strategy

After years (dare I say decades?) of crafting successful marketing campaigns for my clients, I’m sharing some of my top tips for success in my first book, Precision Email: 7 Lessons in Engagement Strategy.

Instead of providing another how-to guide to build the perfect campaign, or tactical advice for optimizing your creative, I decided to share something different—the overall high level strategy by which you should approach the medium to realize your goals. Of all the work my clients hire me for, this is honestly the most vital. It’s the one thing they can’t learn from a YouTube video or hire just any freelancer to do for them, because it comes from decades of experience. It’s the reason why a professionally-run email program succeeds where others fail. It’s the difference between a 5% average open rate and a 40% minimum. These lessons will, I hope, help you learn from the successes (and in some cases, failures) of others in order to make your email marketing program that much better.
