The world asks a lot of us today, thanks to the on-demand access of your phone in your pocket. There is rarely a moment when you aren’t available or accessible for someone to ask you for something. While that accessibility is great in so many aspects of life, for your subscribers, it can be one more way that someone can ask something of them.

When creating your email marketing program, think about how you can give before you ask.

TL;DR

Don’t be another taker, be a giver in your email marketing and your generosity will come back to you tenfold.

Your Subscriber Deserves a Little Treat

Think about how you can be the email that your subscriber can’t wait to open because it GIVES before it asks. Rather than just asking customers to buy from your store, think about giving them a special offer to thank them for being on your list. In the B2B world, think about what knowledge you can share freely, rather than just asking your audience to provide you with more information to close a sale on their account.

If you build a program based on giving, you’ll often find that when you do decide to ask, you’ll get a fantastic response. Instead of building a base of mere shoppers, you’ll build an audience of dedicated followers who appreciate your industry leadership.

Do you need help refining your messaging to get better results? Implementing the right communications strategy can be all the difference in seeing real results. We’re here to help, just ask.
