The best compliment I can ever receive from a client is being told that their prospects “see them everywhere.” It means that our work in brand and positioning are resonating with the target audience. Email marketing is a great way to achieve omnipresence with your audience, because the cost to appear in a prospect’s inbox is minimal, but the brand presence is incalculable.
Why I Love Email as a Brand Channel
In an ideal world, I want a client to be “everywhere”, which includes physical events as well as online channels. This allows for a brand building strategy that leverages positioning and recognition, along with presence where the customer is at the time.
The reality is that most organizations don’t have the time, budget or staffing to maintain that. When faced with real-world limitations, it’s important to prioritize what can be done with what needs to be done. By leveraging email with other mediums, like PPC social media or search marketing, your brand can seem to be everywhere your prospect is, reinforcing your messages consistently. This doesn’t require extensive resources, and therefore is a reasonable way to build a brand presence.
Think of email as part of your brand messaging, and not just part of your lead generation strategy. Being present in the inbox consistently, with relevant content, should be a vital part of your program.
